Gloucester Teacher's Association
Welcome to the Gloucester Teacher's Association web site.
Welcome to the Gloucester Teacher's Association web site. It is very much under construction having only been started on August 18, 2005 (and I really do not know what I am doing). Please do not flame anything yet, however constructive comments and suggestions are appreciated in this learning phase. Click on the link in the 'contact us' page to email me.
Thanks for your understanding and I hope this site can become a valuable resource for us all.

Last night we had an Executive Board Meeting and there were many tidbits of information that should be made public to our member.
First, any Emails that you make from or to the Gloucester Email system are considered public domain and can be used in a court of law. The point being, be careful in the content of your Emails.
Secondly, anyone retired or considering retirement can cantact George Harvey (email through this site) for a conversation and he will mentor you through the process and answer most questions you might have.
Thirdly, Mary Rudolph is looking for persons willing to serve on the CCC Committee. Inservice credits are available for the members of this committee. Email Mary Rudolph if you are interested.
Fourth, Andrea Pretzler is the Chair of the Proffessional Rights and Responsibilities committee (the one that handles grievances). Her home phone number is 978-283-2994 if you think your rights have been violated.
Lastly, in Gloucester, your rank book is considered private property as long as you show it to no one else. If administration wants to know the grades you have recorded (which they have every right to), put them on a separate piece of paper, do not show them your rank book.
Eventually, these points will be moved to another section of this site, but for now they are here to be brought to your attention. Email any questions or concerns to me, Cheryl Olson, and I will try to get you answers in a timely fashion.
See you Monday!
Cheryl Olson
